Rick Drew, owner of County Sign & Awning, started working in the sign business in 1974. After working in the industry for a while, he decided to move into the construction management business.
In 2002, Rick resigned his position in the construction management business because he found out he would have to move to New Jersey to keep his job. At this time, Rick decided to start his own sign business. He had an industrial Engineering Degree and was able to acquire a journeyman’s electrical license in addition to a Master's license.
County Sign & Awning started up from scratch from Rick's home. After a while, Rick's business grew so big that he had to open a couple of branch offices. His first site was opened in downtown Kountze, and then his second site opened in Lumberton. Today the company employs 16 people and they have workers all across the state making signs.
